Back to TopAcceptable forms of payment.Payments can be made to our office by cash, checks, money orders for all companies. Select companies will accept debit/credit cards which can be processed in our office or online. Automatic bank draft is available for most policies.
Back to TopDo I have a grace period?Grace periods vary from company to company with some giving no grace periods and others up to 10 days before a lapse in coverage. Do not assume you have coverage after your due date, contact our office to see if your policy has a grace period.
Back to TopWhat about late fees?Late fees are accessed by the insurance company, not our office, and vary from company to company. Most payments made after the due date will be accessed a late fee from $5 to $12 depending on the company. Payments due on weekends and holidays are subject to a late fee if payment is not received in our office before the due date or if mailed to the company, postmarked before the due date.
Back to TopHow do I file a claim?Your policy should include a toll free number for you to contact them if you have a claim. You may also call our office during normal business hrs. 9 am to 4:30 pm for assistance.
Back to TopWhat is an SR-22?SR-22 is a form required by the Department of Safety to show that you have current liability insurance due to your license being revoked or suspended. There is either no charge or a nominal fee for filing an SR22 depending on the insurance company. The Dept. of Safety determines the length of time the form is needed, failure to keep liability insurance until that time, will cause the company to cancel the SR-22 and the State to revoke/suspend your license until proof of a current SR-22 is received.

Back to TopWhat is non-owner insurance?The State of Tn requires all licensed drivers to have liability insurance. Non-owner policies meets the States liability requirements for people who do not own a vehicle. This is a restrictive policy as it will not cover a vehicle owned by the insured, one that is in their household or one that is made available for their use on a regular basis.
